Lori Enloe PT, NBC-HWC, MA is a compassionate Tai Chi Instructor whose intuitive, nurturing teaching style combines her physical therapy training with the mind- body principles of Tai Chi. Lori began her Tai Chi journey in 1993 studying the Cheng Man-ch’ing Yang Style Form. She was certified by Tricia Yu to teach Tai Chi Fundamentals® in 2003. In 2014 she received Advanced Certification from Tricia Yu to train and test Tai Chi Fundamentals® instructors. Lori has trained and certified Tai Chi Fundamentals Instructors regionally and nationally.
Her tai chi practice is also informed by her study of Somatic Movement forms with Meg Eginton, RSME-T, MFA, study of Tai Chi with Peter Wayne at Tree of Life Tai Chi and her Yoga training with Betsy Rippentrop, PhD and Marsha Neiland. While practicing as a physical therapist, Lori has specialized in assisting individuals with chronic health conditions, pain, balance dysfunction, helping individuals lose weight, and has conducted clinical research with individuals having total joint replacement. She has taught Tai Chi in Iowa City for over 20 years.
Her primary Tai Chi training is Cheng Man Ch’ing Yang style short form with Tricia Yu, Pat Culotti and Dan Benton. She has attended seminars with Barbara Davis, Kim Kanselberger, Ken Cohen, Ken Van Sickle, Yang Yang, Dug Corpolongo, William CC Chen and the late Jane and Bataan Faigo.
